How to enable Windows Authentication for Contact Expert Part I - CE Portal
This guide describes how to enable Windows Authentication for CE portal.
Step-by-step guide
Create users in Contact Expert with the same name as their Active Directory user accounts to let them log in to the CE Portal.
Example: for an AD user having the "User logon name" property set to SampleUser and being a member of domain called SampleDomain, create a CE user named SAMPLEDOMAIN\SampleUser. The CE password is irrelevant in this case so any dummy value can be used (e.g. "1234").
Note
Contact Expert does not store AD credentials in any way.
Log in to the CE Core Host computer.

- Open the Default Web Site node in the Connections pane.
- Click the CEManagementSvc application item under Default Web Site in the Connections pane.
- Double-click the Authentication item in the IIS section of the middle pane so a list of authentication options appear.
- In case the Windows Authentication option is disabled, enable it either using the right-click menu or the Actions pane buttons at the right.
- In case the Anonymous Authentication is enabled, disable it either using the right-click menu or the Actions pane buttons at the right.
