How to enable Windows Authentication for Contact Expert Part II - CE Agent Dashboard
This guide describes how to enable Windows authentication for Contact Expert agent application's Dashboard component.
Step-by-step guide
- Create a CE service running user account in Active Directory, or local Windows user accounts if no corporate domain is in use.
- Create a new user account in Contact Expert with the same name as this Active Directory user account.
- Assign the SuperAdmin role.
- Set the hierarchy level to Full Access.
- Log in to the CE Core Host computer.
- Run Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
- Open the Application Pools node in the Connections pane.
- Right-click the CEAgentAppPool element and select Advanced settings... item.
- Click the Identity property in the Process Model section and change it to reflect the newly created AD account.
- Open the Web.config file located in the [CE install path]\Agent folder (C:\Geomant\CE\Agent by default):
Change the value of the "ManagementService.UseWindowsAuthentication" property to true, save and close the file.
