    SSO Configuration Options

There are multiple ways to configure SSO with Wallboard.

    Using Wallboard's built-in user management.

You don't need any special configuration, just create users inside Wallboard.

Using cloud IDP, like Microsoft(O365) or Google on a Wallboard Cloud server

There is an option for that by default, but the user with the same email address has to exist in the Wallboard system.

Using cloud IDP, like Microsoft(O365) or Google on a Wallboard Partner server

    1. The partner has to create their own Google/Microsoft oauth credentials.
    2. The partner has to send these credentials to us.
    3. Our team has to configure the Keycloak realm with the given IDP.
    4. Keycloak realm(s) has to be configured on the Wallboard Partner server.

Using cloud IDP, like Microsoft(O365) or Google on a Wallboard Partner server with their own Keycloak

The steps are the same as in the previous case, except the partner needs to have a Keycloak server, which we can help to install and configure.

Using private IDP on Wallboard Cloud server

    1. The end-user has to provide a few details:
      • Type of IDP (Okta, MS AD, Ping Identity...)
      • Sub-domain (yourcompany.wallboard.info)
      • The exact name of the following attributes in the authentication response: email, first name, last name
      • XML metadata in case of SAML.
    2. Our team will take care of the whole configuration process.

Using private IDP on a Wallboard Partner server with their own Keycloak

The prerequisites are the same as in the previous case, except the partner needs to have a Keycloak server, which we can help to install and configure.

    Further required configuration:

    • Keycloak realm configuration to support the given IDP.
    • DNS entry for the sub-domain.
    • Nginx configuration for the sub-domain (+HTTPS certification).
    • Whitelabel domain configuration in Wallboard under the end-user's client.

Using private IDP on a Wallboard OnPrem server with OnPrem Keycloak

All steps are the same as in the previous case, except the end-user has their on Wallboard and Keycloak server, which we can help to install and configure.

Using private LDAP SSO on a Wallboard OnPrem server.

Wallboard has a native solution to use LDAP as the authentication method.
