These sections provide a high level outline of the primary installation steps. Experienced professionals who have already dealt with IIS web application deployment – especially this Designer – will find this overview helpful to stay on course by omitting the lower level details. For them, this chapter is a checklist.
In case you are going to perform the installation for the first time, we recommend you to skip to the installation chapters instead.
Verify Prerequisites
The IVR Designer has no explicit hardware requirements – it works just fine on a hardware scoped for the Geomant IVR Engine. It does however have certain software requirements:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2012 / 2014 / 2016 / 2017 / 2019
- Access with SQL Server Management Studio
- Microsoft Internet Information Services 7 / 7.5 / 8 / 8.5
- ASP.NET 4.0 Application Pool
- Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 / 4.5 / 4.5.1
- One of the following web browsers:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 / 10 / 11
- Google Chrome (recommended)
- Optional:
- ActiveDirectory user groups for controlling access to these IVR Designer roles:

- EditAnnouncements
- Geomant IVR Engine in the OnCall IVR Suite this IVR Designer belongs to

Note
The product supports the documented versions of these prerequisite software elements. Compatibility with other versions are not supported.
Installation
Installation of IVR Designer includes using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to create the related database.

Verification After Installation
The application needs to be tested after installation to ensure the proper functionality and service of the product.

Introducing the Install Package
The installation is performed from an 'install package' – an ISO image containing the following:
- Database folder – containing the database scripts to set up the
GeoIVRDesigner
database and various related components - setup – the executable file to install the web application
The name of the image file has the following format:
IVRDesigner_vX.X.X.iso
