How to configure Avaya recording
This article describes the configuration of the recording feature in an Avaya based environment.
Step-by-step guide
Audio codecs assigned to the recording channels should be in sync on both CE and Avaya CM side. If the default G711U
codec is used on Avaya side, then there is no need to define a codec for the recording channels on the CE Portal as CE also uses this by default.
In any other cases, you should set the codec information on the CE Portal to match the codec that is used on Avaya CM side. Otherwise, no media streams will be received by the CE recorder channel and no media file will be created for the recorded conversations in the designated CE storage.
Example
If G711A is used on Avaya CM side, then you should set the same G711A on the CE Portal, as well.
