How to change the language of the Contact Expert administration interface
Contact Expert's administration interface - CE portal - was localized to a number of different languages. Selecting a language other than the default (US English) is simple as the system follows the language established in Internet Explorer v11.
Step-by-step guide
The language of the CEPortal is set based on the browser's language preferences. The process of changing IE display language depends on the Windows OS version on your computer.
To change the IE display language on Windows editions with Control Panel (Windows 8.1 and early editions of Windows 10):
- Click in the upper right corner of the IE window.
- Select Internet Options from the drop down list.
- On the General tab select Languages then choose Set Language Preferences. This will open the Language menu of the Control Panel.
- Click Add a language, choose the desired one and click Add. Note that the languages will be applied in the order as seen here - top first - so move the language of choice to the top. Currently

are the supported languages. - (This step might not be required) In case the chosen language was not applied to the webpage, repeat steps 1-3 and click the Advanced settings option on the left side.
- The first drop-down list under Override for Windows display language should be set to the chosen language instead of having the default value (Use language list).
- Internet Explorer must be restarted so that these changes take effect.
To change the IE display language on Windows editions with Settings (Windows 10 editions released in and after around 2018):
- Click in the upper right corner of the IE window.
- Select Internet Options from the drop down list.
- On the General tab select Languages then choose Set Language Preferences. This will open the Language Settings of Windows.
- Would your language of choice not be listed under Preferred languages, click Add a preferred language. The Choose a language to install dialog shows up.
- Choose the desired language one and click Next. The Install languages feature dialog shows up.
- You can add or bypass some of the features, but make sure to check the Set as my display language option, then click Install.
- Note that the languages will be applied in the order as seen under Preferred languages - top first - so move the language of choice to the top. Currently

Please note that these settings only apply to Internet Explorer. If you use other web browsers, all you need to do is changing the language of the browser inside the application.
